Upgraded Exhaust

So at the moment my back box doesn't have much life left in it and ive been quoted £100 for the back box minus fitting. So i've been debating getting an uprated system. My questions are..

Do i go for a decat aswell? And if so what do you lads do about MOT?
Also with an uprated system does it improve throttle responce and how much performance difference does it really make?

Looking at a Prospeed system btw.

I just got a Decat on mine, have to change it for every mot, what's your budget? That's the determining factor.

Depends if you can be arsed with popping the cat back on for the MOT (ball-ache on a 172). And your insurers views.

Depends on if you can be ars#d to change cat, like I said I do mine every year, but I don't know the differance with a 172 cat, my 182 cats easy, 1 bracket, 2 bolts and a lambda that's it

To change the 172 cat it's a pain in the arse I just pay a garage to take it off and then mot it, then get them to put it bk on,£10 well spent if you ask me saves me a couple of hours of grazing my hand and swearing at coroded bolts lol. That's what I do anyways

It depends what system you get, I defienitely felt more power when I fitted the yozza but as someones said some customs may lose you power.

Decat is a must, whether you have to swap in the cat or not, imo.

BTB, or Yozza stealth would be where my money would go. Dont ever get that droney ktec stealth crap, they are soooooo w**k imo (i've had 2 btw)

Personally I'd go mongoose or scorpion, not everyone got them and there better grade stainless than most.
