Hi... Just got some new lights "2nd hand" for my Mk2 Ph1 "Grande 1.2" year 2000
Want to know if these lights are a straight swap or do i need to buy or alter anything.
Also the only bulbs that came with the lights are the indicators and the bottom bulbs on the inside ... can i use the bulbs from my old lights "standard lights" or do i need to buy a few.. “havent tried the bulbs in the new lights yet”
Thanks for you time

theres a bit of tampering needed mate. there was a guide on here, but your not a full member so wont be able to access it. i didn't do mine so can't really shed much light on the fitting side. bulbs are H7 and HB3, the ones you have now are probably H4, which won't fit. indicators are the same though.

Looking here http://www.leadinglamps.co.uk/hb3-search.html?mode=search&by_title=Y&by_sku=Y&including=all&gclid=CPiv_6fHtp4CFcts4wodmApunA
There are a few HB3 bulbs ... so would all them fit and work
Also i would like the bulbs to be a nice white not the yellow fitted to most cars.
They dont have to be really bright just a nice white... so guess i need the HB3 Xenon White 65W from that link. Not buying from there, just trying to get an idia what i have to buy.
Also can i get rid of that orange glow from the indicator and how
Thanks

Hi
Ive fitted my dual headlights....
But have a problem... I followed the guide you have here...
With sidelights on ..... all is good
With dipped beam .... the outer optic and low inner are lit
With high beam ..... Only the inner light or lights are lit
And the fuse ... My fusebox is passenger side and my icon for Dual headlights isnt the same icon as the guide; i have 5 straight lines from my driver’s handbook.

Hey mate, I had a thread on this when I did mine, basically the basic mk2 ph1's do no have the fuse to allow the main beams to come on with the high beams, so when you pull the stick towards you and put on high beam, that is all that is on.

This isn't a problem really, and aparently it'll go through MOT just fine, but if you do want the dipped beam to stay on when you put on high beam aparently you can put a relay into the wiring and it works.

If you search through my previous threads you'll see my dual optics one.

EDIT, here ya go: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=455443
