Upgrading front speakers

On a Clio that has tweeters and door speakers when upgrading to comps does the car have it's own crossover somewhere? OR does it just pump out equal signal to each set of speakers?

Also are there any tweeters that are a direct replacement for stock items on a ph1 172?

What can people recommend that are easy to fit?

no crossover,direct wiring from radio to speakers,any frequency too low for the tweeter will not play,anything too high for woofer wont
no standard size replacements,just have to make em fit
they are all just a easy/difficult to fit,can be a pain in the ass if you aint done it before

mm I'm not a massive audiophile and it's not going to be amped, so will probably replace the doors with some better coax and leave the tweeters as they are

it isnt hard to install components, you seem to know how to do the door, and for the tweeters, whip out the dash, take out your stock one's, there is a black frame where the old ones went in, not quite big enough for aftermarket tweeters, so get a stanley knife and cut away slightly from where the old tweeters were to make them fit. Worked like a treat for me!

i did make an how to on another forum, here are some pics how to install a 16cm composet with tweeters on the right places:

the rerd circle is the speaker hole, i maked it a little bit larger with a hammer, also did some paint on it because otherwise the rust will take over.

then you make a plate of mdf:

Those are a direct replacement for the standard tackle. No idea how good they are. You can put any set of comps in 13cm are a direct fit for the doors its just playing around fitting the tweets and the wiring is a laugh. Is easier if your amping them though if you do it the way I have.
