Upgrading xbox hdd help

Hey, bought myself a 250 gig HDD to put in the Xbox, I have it chipped with a xecutor2 modchip and its running slayers evox. Anyway I’ve been looking at the guides on Xbox Scene and I’m a bit worried now, looks confusing.

Anyone on here done it themselves and have any tips or help, so I don’t muck mine up. Also I need to update the bios to support the full size of the drive but not sure how to do this, any help there would also be appreciated.

Just make sure you use the bigmem bios when your flashing the chip.. otherwise it wont recognise the full 250GB

Im unsure to wot modchip version i have pro/lite?, in the main menu of evox it says

Bios: x2 4973 xbox1.1_256k

I never fitted the chip bought it with the chip already fitted, I have a switch to turn it on and off so i can use xbox live. Any ideas or will i have to look at the chip myself??

looking at team xecuter's site they have this bios X2 5032 - 512k but thats 512k will it work on mine? Also none of the download links work anyway.

Where do i get the bios's from? Please dont tell me i gotta use that mirc prog.

Cant tell you what chip it is you have.. but.. unfortunatly you will probably have to use IRC, look for #xbins www.xbins.org is a site about it but there is no files there.

Only safe way to get the bios is using IRC, it's not difficult and all the instructions are out there.

I got the bios now, just gotta try upgrade it, ill post back once ive killed my xbox
