Not looking to buy these, but just came across them on eBay and wondered whether anyone has ever bought or used these? Look pretty nice not sure how good they would be though!

I would like to see how you get the ball joint on them lol.
Exactly what I thought when I first looked at them! Just never seen them mentioned before.
maybe they just use a bolt through that spherical bearing instead of the separate part?
if you look at the pile of bolts, the two larger ones to the left look like they might go where the ball joints would be?

Not sure. I was just curious whether anyone here had used them as I've never seen them before.

I think they look pretty good. Not sure how much adjustment you would get out of them tho. What doesn't look strong about them?

They can look as pretty as you like. But theres barely any material there compared to a normal wishbone, and there's no where to mount the ball joint.

They may as well have "hello kitty" splashed all over them.

By the looks of them though they have the ball joint built into them on the end.
As for how strong they would be or how they would perform I don't know!

They use a spherical instead of a balljoint and then a pin that goes into the hub. There is only one type of metal that I would want that pin to be made from to be strong enough and at the price they are selling them for it's not going to be :( I wouldn't risk them on my car. As above they are the same place that does the cheapo cages and says ERW is better than CDS for Roll cages...... i'm out

There are so many flaws in their design its untrue. I mean you have to remove the rod ends from the subframe to adjust them for a start! The bracket for the arb will no doubt bend and deflect negating the effectiveness of the arb, and I won't even pass comment on the pins for the hubs! S**t the f**king bed!!

You dont use a balljoint, they have a rose joint at the outer joint and are supplied with a pin that goes into the balljoint hole in the hub.

edit: beaten to it by james, lol.

Weren't these proposed in a group buy a while ago.....and when pplstarted asking questions on the material and the bearings used...it all just went quiet?

I was goin to mention this.

their was a thread in the for sale section with the chap trying to sell them and when people started questioning him he went quiet.

I think pms use tubular lower arms.....?
Rose joints are a brand name, they are using spherical bearings for location/pickup points.
We had had what resembles bamboo sticks on a near 200mph gt car suspension years ago......they look alright, so long as correct materials are used, i.e. CDS tubing.

I believe that pms use tubular lower arms on the subframe/hub assembly they built, but the difference is that they are straight arms not bent like these ones, with the front arm used to adjust camber and the rear to adjust castor. Most competition cars run with a similar style/setup to the pms ones as well.
Apologies for the shite description!

That pin WILL 100% elongate the bottom hole in the hub. That's assuming its not snapped beforehand of course!!

If you are sure of that, then James doesnt need to worry about the pin needing to be better material, as if its already strong enough to trash the mounting hole then why make it stronger? lol

Wishbones are a really dangerous thing to be making guesses for on a road car, fine for a grass tracker etc, but I'll be sticking with renault ones or at least ones with a proven track record personally, its not the place to save a few quid!

I'd be interested to hear from someone who has used them and see how well they have worked.. Or not worked!

I would expect them to work well performance wise if correctly setup, its how they stand upto punishment longer term that would be my concern.

My clio, standard. The race cars standard ball joints nylon bushes.

And not having to replace them often, that's impressive. I take back what I said then. I would have thought they would get shagged, particularly the OBJ's.

What does the Porsche run? As standard wishbone joints and have you modded it?

Slicks, big brakes, modified kinimatics, proper suspension etc.

I don't see what advantages these wishbones offer over a set of standard items with polybushes and camber bolts.
