always gone with apc before but surly there must be something else thats better and cheaper

needs to power 4 servers and a small voip phone system so nothing huge wants about 30 mins runtime and about 50% growth room maybe

I have a UNITEK UPS system here...Works great until someone turned it off at midday on Xmas eve meaning I lost a whole mornings programming/designing. Was not a happy bunny!

I'm not sure who ours are supplied by, but they are on a much bigger scale so not sure if it'd be any good for you. Can find out if necessary?

I always use APC for my server installs, however our telecoms guys use Powerware for the PBX's.

APC are what we use... also on there website it gives you a calculator also used an HP UPS which was half decent too

Bar a couple of old compaqs which are being killed off soon we use APC.

Just installed 3 SmartUPS RT 8000s each with 2 extra battery packs. Christ they weighed a bit, each battery pack had 4 batteries weighing about 20 kilos each as well as 4 in the UPS.

Fun times.

Think one of our remote offices has a 6000 with 2 additional packs for roughly the same amount of kit, I think.

They were just some little ones, the big floor standers are monsters though!
