Urgent help needed- car stopped running

Car decided to stop this morning, luckily I had just came off the motorway and was going around a roundabout.
Heres the symptoms:

- Going at slow speed (20mph) the frequency box starts flashing and I lose all power, revving does nothing

-Pulled over stopped ingnition and tried to start again, turned over a few times but wouldn't catch

- Stopped trying had a look in the bay to see if anything was visibly wrong but nada, tried turning it over again and after a couple of turns the Engine stop light started flashing and cut me out automatically from trying to start it

No knocks or bangs, just cut out from the blue

Not sure what it could be, something completely unlike any other problem i've had, filled up last night with £5 unleaded (would normally use super not that it makes a huge difference) but wonder would a bad batch of fuel do anything like that.

I'm stumped and the car is ditched in the dodgiest area so going to have to get it towed or lifted home.

If a cambelt went would it make a loud noise or anything?

does it turn over when you try start it?

yeah it does ben, a couple of turns and then the engine with stop in it flashes

take the oil filer cap off, get someone to crank it, if the cams spin the belt hasnt snapped.

Sounds like a alarm/imob issue?

Ok going to tow it home soon, i'll have a jeff and then see if the red light is going out. Would an imobiliser problem make the car cut out tho if it was already running?

ok the engine symobol with stop in it flashes continuously, the red light also doesnt go off but the engine turns over. Havnt checked the cambelt yet

When trying to start the car the main beam flashes 3 times?!? Any idea if that symbolises anything?
