URGENT HELP NEEDED

Driving along and my range on trip comp started flashing pulled over switched car off and bk on and now no speedo and engine management light is on????

i did a check and it comes up with t--h??

also im going on a long drive and need a speedo if i disconnect battery any luck you think?

No idea, but as long as the red "stop" isn't illuminated, I'd say you're safe to drive to a dealers to get it looked at. Just be cautious through speed camers!

yeh its only since i fitted new headunit aint worked

just disconnected headunit and it works again but still got ecu light on

is there away around this interferring in or shall i go get my money back?

Might have been something you've done while connecting it up.

But tbh I can't really see how they're related and imagine it's just co-incidence. If the fault codes have come up then Renault should be able to tell you straight away what's broken.

same fault codes as always tho its a lg headunit

like i said i completly disconnected it and the speedo worked again just engine management light still on

Try re-setting the fault codes to see if it clears the fault. If it does then the ECU light should go out. As for the speedo not working I think this is due to the remote output of th LG unit but I'm not 100% sure.

ok do you know anyone i can call now to go around cutting remote wire etc as i need to go out asap!!! how do i reset fault codes?

Get to the fault codes display, then press your reset button that is mounted in the speedo. It also resets your trip readings.

yeh ok ive done that but still management light ive drove car with and without radio plugged in and when it aint plugged in it works and when it is it doesnt so does anyone know a way around this???

and by disconnecting batt will it turn eng man light off

bump i need urgent help engine man light is out now but how do i keep speedo working when headunit on?

put the standard head unit back in, try disconnecting the battery to get rid of engine management light to go out.

all sorted guys took headunit back got a JVC one and all is ok
