URGENT!! RT repairs

How much am i likely to pay in labour for a water pump, head gasket and cam belt change? I would do it myself but just havent got the time. i need to get this done ASAP because i am geting my new car a week on monday and need money for a deposit. its on a 1993 1.4 RT. i can get all the parts for under £50 so just labour costs need.

i would of though 300 quid would be around the price to have all that done possibly more....

we had that doen on our 1.4 rt a few months back, cost £800 and apparently that was cheap!! i think we had the cambelt done too, and a new zorst fitted. the back box...



so about £600

Had all this on my RT, water pump and cam belt cost me £200, then head gasket and cam belt cost me £300 later on. Get them all done together and youre probably looking at £350-400.

As a tip, if you can afford it, get new valves too. One of mine was broken a bit and was causing misfire. Was looking at £200 with labour to take head off and replace them all. Ended up leaving it and trading car in which I hated doing, but had other things wrong with it too.

Im your man for RT repair info... you name it, I had it done!

I changed the water pump and belt on my wifes RT yesterday. Took about 3 hours, but a right pain to do.!!

Take it to a little back street garage. I had my old Energys water pump and cam belt done for 60 quid.

thats the sort of place i need, cheap and cheerful. im gettin rid of it soon as its fixed so i can put the money down as a deposit for my new one. dont really want to spend more than £200 tops

water pump for my 19 was 30 odd quid and the belt was 15 im sure thw whole lot only cost me a ton
