URGENT: Speedo Cutting Out

Yet another problem, sorry guys... After the car had been in for a load of work it came back with two problems main problem, both of which i assumed were gearbox related...

1. The speedo kept cutting out and in (in had never done this before going in)
2. The reverse lights werent working

I took the car back in and they sorted the reverse lights just checking the switch/sensor on the gearbox and cleaned the speedo sensor too. All was working fine and the speedo seemed all good, but about a week later it started doing it again.

Its now got much worse and barley works at all (a bundle of laughs at speed cameras i assure you) Any ideas what it could be and/or how to fix it???

The garage i took it to knows me well so will have a look at whatever is suggested for free.

Well its only really going to be either the speedo sensor or the connections to it really. Not much else to go wrong and got to be something like that if it was working fine before.

A 172 might be but the non rs Ph1s deffo aren't ABS driven. The very last ones might be.
