URGENT - whats this ?

I have been sent a file to my pc (running Vista) which is a doc file.

On the properties of this file under details there is a section that says Author. What does this mean if the name in it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the doc?

Via Yahoo messenger...it didn't work fully though...l could read the text but theres a lot of jumbled up letters and numbers

The author is just one of the extended file properties. In word it's set to the default user unless changed in the properties.
