Urgent Windows Display Settings Help

Hi guys,

I have borrowed a 'pool' laptop from work to take with me when I see a customer tomorrow and they have changed the background on it to something not very appropiate as a joke.
Luckily I switched it on this evening to do a couple of things and I can't seem to change the desktop background!

If I go into Display Properties -> Desktop all the options are greyed out apart from the color pallete but if I change a colour it still leaves the picture on the background.
I have found another basic picture on the hard drive and right clicked on it to save it as a background and it doesn't work, the original picture is still there.

Any ideas? I need to sort this before tomorrow! I am going to kill the guys at work for doing this! lol

Thanks in advance.

James

Try doing it in IE/firefox from a pic on the net?

Right, think I am getting somewhere. Just been into the 'Run' command and the last program used was 'gpedit.msc'.
Looks like someone has changed a policy on the machine, which setting could it be. I have had a good look through and can't find one.

Panic over!

They had set an Active desktop but restricted all access on changing it, sorted now :)

Its nothing rude, just a little ongoing joke/game.

Would have looked a bit dodgy if I turn on the laptop infront of a customer and a picture of a colleauges hand came up (like an OK when diving).
