USB Device Sharing

Have a printer and a scanner that I'd like to share between 4 pc's neither have ethernet ports, just USB.

I have a Belkin peripheral switch which is supposed to share a device between 4 pc's but it doesnt work, anyone had a similar thing that actually worked?

nope its in an office within my work where there's 4 pc's.

All PCs are connected to the company wired LAN but these devices are to be shared by these 4 machines only and as said only have USB conections...

edit again - i did read it right.

that isn't what he needs.

that is a NIC.

he wants something to share the usb scanner and printer between all 4 pc's without tieing the scanner or printer down to only being able to be used when a certain machine is on.

or that's the way i understood it anyway?

printer is easy, just get a print server.

not sure on scanner.

Print Servers eh, are these not usually wireless? Can you get USB Print servers?

cheers, going to get a netgear usb print server have read up on them and seems the best option.
