Evening all,

Just thought I would post a couple of pics of my mates car and his brothers. My mate has a imported JDM EK9 and his brother has just got rid of his Focus ST and got a UK Spec DC5. Both cars are absolutely immaculate. Both sound so different but so amazing. Anyway I havn't had time to do a shoot of the DC5 with my DSLR so the pics are only small phone pics, but it gives you an idea. I did a few shots of the EK9 one night a couple of weeks ago and another mate joined us in his UK spec DC2.

Lovely! I have to own something with Vtec at some point, if it wasn't for insurance I'd probably own one by now.

Thanks for the comments guys, i will pass them on. The DC5 is immaculate, cant believe how rapid it is! you guys would love the Honda EG who sometimes meets us in Norwich, it has a EP3 engine in it and is completely stripped and it absolutely fries the DC5 it is mental!

Christopher - sorry mate, i didnt realise you couldnt get UK DC5s im not that clued up on Hondas as you can probably tell lol
 
The 5 looks very clean, reminds me of mine.

Tell him to get it Kpro'd, completely different machine when its in the 250's (bhp).

Is K pro just a remap then or? How much is that?

I do like the hondas, but they just dont excite be too much visually. As a driving weapon I think the the dc2 is the best, but also the fugliest

Its a piggyback that goes on the standard ECU, allows you to remap, as the OEM is not mappable. Your looking at around £700 for a Kpro and £200-300 for a map (places likr TDI North do a package and are highly regarded), i think thats with an OEM ECU exchange, or you can pick them up for £600 second hand.

A few bolt ons like RBC inlet manifold (from accord euro R), induction, free flowing full exhaust and Kpro with a remap will see you into the 240-250s bhp. Add that to a fast road set-up and decent disc/pad combo and its a different drive altogether.

I loved my DC5 when it was properly set-up.

If your stupid and buy everything new then yes.

It cost me about £300, bought all my mods second hand and sold them for the same price or more when the car sold.

I would never supercharge or turbo a teg btw, ruins the essence of the thing, N/A ftw.
