V6 255 used value’s

why do these vary massively? is it cause people have no idea of their value? or is it cause they dont want to lose as much as they think they are going to.

heres 2 examples of mark 2 vees on autotrader at the moment..

May 2005 with 6k miles in illad blue..£19,900 ONO

2004 54 plate with 5k miles also in illad £21,995

i know dealers are going to always sell for slightly higher prices..but ive been watching for a month or 2..and theres no consistency whatso-ever.



Im getting a vee in march/april and would ideally like black gold on a 04 onwards what would you suggest a suitable price?

The cars arent listed in a trade guide so the prices asked will vary by what people think theyre worth and what people will want to pay for them

i got my mars red v6255 5 weeks ago on a 53 plate with one owner and 8k on the clock for £18500, got it from autotrader and the one above that on the site was 04 plate 2 owners 15k on the clock with 2 owners for £21500.

Jeremy got it in one. I am the official distributor for Hummer in the U.K. and the prices that people are asking for secondhand Hummer H2s are all over the place. There isnt much point us telling you what you should pay for one, just get the best deal you can on the car you want the most.

I guess it also depends how quick you want to sell it. Generally when Im flogging a car Ive already bought my new one, so will make sure its the cheapest (or amongst the cheapest) around to make sure it moves quickly, as otherwise Im sat with an uninsured car on my hands, and nowhere to park it, just in the hope that I may get a few hundred pounds more by holding out for a buyer prepared to pay top money...

RS Clio prices generally are a bit varied at the moment. 53 plate 172 Cup prices have shot down to £7000 in several cases privately but at the same time Renault dealerships still seem to be shifting them for at least £9k. At the same time though the guide price in Parkers/Glass etc is somewhere around £10k last time I checked.

Just a case of getting the best deal you can depending on what you are prepared to spend. Its worth waiting as well because every so often a mint V6 crops up at a very good price, you just cant always be fussy about the colour because there are literally just a handful of each in some cases.

hog1...check autotrader clios between 17k and 30k, theres a good 5 or 6 black golds on there, im sure jeremy said most of the last ones kicked out were illiad and black gold

I heard that too. Someone at Renault probably realised the sparkly blue was a bit girly so painted the last ones black.

Just got mine for £19k 5k miles mint Balck gold 04 plate. Awesome machine and in really good nick! How can you buy a new one? Had the offer of a 54 plate car with similmar mileage and same colour but the dealer woudnt deal below £21.5k so I walked in this one. No difference fully run in clean straight car! As I said AWESOME!
