V6 Airbox or Ph1 Airbox for 182?

I was just looking for an answer, alot of people seem to like the V6 airbox.

I think the V6 Airbox has a bigger capacity however I can't see that making much difference as the inlet hose and throttle body will still limit how much air goes through.

I had a Ph1 Airbox with ITG Filter on mine at one point and it seemed to free it up a little but no noticeable gains to be had with just an induction seup IMO

make no different removing the acoustic valve. Just a bit of weight saving. There are two cold air feed pipes in the 182 box. Remove the one that you can see on the right hand side and it give a more noisy induction.

Standard airbox..
Remove the acoustic valve and replace the feed with a caf pointing at it from the road. best solution i'v found so far..

It's the only pipe going into the box. Plastic ends with a furry pipe (lol). About 70mm around just pull. There is nothing you can remove from the airbox that causes issues. Just give it a go you'll be fine

5-10hp depending on how bad yours are, from my experience most arnt great, seem to be worst on ph2 172's.

I took the large pipe out from the right of the standard airbox and i must say i LOVE the change! Sounds so much better..and seems to pick up a bit quicker but that will just be in my head!

The sound from removing the airpipe is quite addictive!
I assume the pipe i have unattatched is the acoustic valve?

I thought that only worked on 306 Gti6's iirc it lowers the centre of gravity & makes it faster through the twisties!!
