v6 as a Daily Drive...

  Renaultsport Mégane R26
Hi all,

I know there have been many a post regarding this topic but I haven't been able to find any through the search function...

I was just wondering how impractical are the v6's as daily drives? I'm giving serious thought to a phase 2 v6 and want to know if they can be run as daily drives.

Does anyone have any photos of the lugguge area behind the seats/boot/front boot pics?

Many thanks,

Dave

I struggled with my mk1 when I had it and couldn't have just had it as my only car. I bought a second car when I had the V.

If you have a girlfirend/boyfriend/wife and regular access to another car it would be okay, but if it is the only car you have access to I think you will struggle.

Thanks for the comments guys... Any pictures at all?

Is it true as well that the front boot isn't fully waterproof?

I got my mk2 on sunday.

I'm young, single, work in London (train every day) and don’t have kids. So the car is perfect for me, but if you’re a family man or someone who requires space in a car then the v6 isn't for you.

Awesome car though...

Everybody who says there isnt alot of room in a vee for stuff either hasnt been in one or wasnt trying hard enough.

Ive taken my vee camping a couple of times now and managed to get all my tent, sleeping bags, clothes and other bits and pieces in and even had enough room left over for bags of shopping and lolads of throw away BBQs.

Admitedly you wont get large objects in but if its that bulky why would you wanna put it in a clio full stop.

Fueleconomy isnt a major issue if your carefull with the loud pedal.

Cars are there to be driven not tucked up in a garage to keep the mileage down and only taken out on sunny days.;)

2 of us for a week's holiday in south of france - plenty of room, and having done over 40000 in ours, using it every day, up and down motorway, in and out of London, if you love it you will love it every day, regardless .....
I would happily drive one every day again, if someone wants to donate me one !!!! ;)
