V6 engine cover

what the difference with it off in terms of engine noise?

just wanna here that lovely V6 rumble a bit more

i have tried it with both of the covers off, it is good, really loud, you can hear all the clunks and clinks and the engine sounds like the clio race cars will sound. Its not something you could put up with for 2 long though!

i drove up the street and back and i was glad to get the covers back on!!

I gave it a go, and it sounded like a bus - loud and not as impressive as youd hope, but like you say, the whuurs and clunks sound pretty cool!

For proper V6 noises, get an ITG/BMC/PiperX induction kit and a sports exhaust...





...or throttle bodies!

it has a great hissing noise!!!! But if its very cold be prepared to get the car windows steamed up lol

has anyone made a perspex cover for the engine?? - Would be good for showing the engine off. The amount of times I have had to remove both covers to show people the engine bay!!!

i saw one on a car that was for sale before i got my v6, they got it custom made i think.

no idea on costs etc but may be quite expensive if custom made!!

Wouldnt want full perspex .. but just enough to show the "RENAULTsport v6" on the top would be cool. Current covers do a spot on job of keeping things cool enough and attenuating the noise just enough.

Oh yes I have thought of this many times. Saw a Ferrieiria with one which seemed standard.

Clio V6 is so much easier to spell dont you think.
