V6 just gone in for 12k service...

Subway, you never answered me about my car going to k-tec.

Hope you get the cruise control sorted

I'm aware of your post subway, just not the reasoning of your choice of words against k-tec. Not quite sure how I am deluded, but do feel free to tell me over, say, a cup of hot chocolate

  Clio-V6
You give me the impression that going through k-tec is that of a bad idea.

Could you let me know why? I'm sure we would all hate to see another clio v6 f*cked as a reuslt. BIT like yours was, (cat D), and by the looks of the smoke, still is!)

Subway, I dont know you, and im certainly no "keyboard warrior"..

..but...you do come across as an arrogant chav with too much money sometimes..

jeez, everything you do is so perfect, and everything others do is always wrong..no wonder your exhaust vids are being slated on v6clio.net, those people know their cars and wouldnt have paid 8p for your vee, let alone £8000, judging by the racket it makes and the plumes of black reek even on idle..

i'd also like to join this discussion over a cup of hot chocolate :):)

I got mine serviced for free courtesy of Renault. Gave me a Modus to drive around in which I actually quite liked.

if ours hadn't still been in warranty and we lived close enough I would have been more than happy to get my car serviced and looked after by David at K-tec - there are always some people who have favourites (BB, K-tec, GDI etc) but I have dealt with all of those three mentioned and my preference would be k-tec - but that is down to personal experience.

I personally wouldn't take a specialist car to a place like K-tec, but each to there own. I had some dealings with k-tec in the passed which I wasn't to happy about, but I'm not about to sit hear and start slagging them off.

As for my v6, it's as clean as whistle. Service went very well; Mark Fish has seen it, driven and expected it and he said it's perfectly fine.

ColinG - Thank for your delightful yet pointless post, I can not wait for your next thrilling post of utter crap lol

As for the hot coco, it's only 1 on 1...I don't fancy getting double teamed :)

I have seen a few vee's where the cruise control has not worked after work on the engine. BUT it has cleared itself after a few stops and starts.

Cheers

Good service...cost £223.95 (inc vat) and they washed it for me!

Poor 1.2 got abused badly today, it done well though.

Darlington Renault is highly recommended!

You have had your pants pulled down and bummed good and hard there matey - a 12k service consists of an oil change / filter and level check and a quick look round the car to see if Renault can screw you for anything else that might need repairing ( 1.2 hr labour rate ) - your basically paying for the Official Renault Service stamp there.

Picked up my car from K-tec on Friday. What can I say, they did a great job. Have sorted out all my problems and noises. Car feels fantastic now and goes even better. Couldnt be happier.

Subway, I hope your service went well and you sorted out your cruise control.

Flip the switch the other way for the adjustable speed limiter too.;)

Quite handy in the Vee in 6th gear. It goes too fast, too easy!

got mine serviced at Darlington Renault. they over filled the oil. but still gave it back to me without draining some out. Something that simple and they got it wrong makes you think. not impressed.

Is that Darlington Renault - as in up north? 'cos I think Adam's V6 went to E.J.Darlington - Harlow, Essex.
Just making sure as didn't want people thinking it was one Darlington and not the other - if you get what I mean lol!
