v6 problem..

hi everybody, this problem started about two months ago, when i would put in the key and turn it to the on possition the red light in the dash would start flashing and the car wouldent start! that was fine my renault garage said it was the key or decoder ring, so replased boath of them and got the key programed and still the same problem and no faults showing up??? my clio is sitting in the yard for weeks now and nobody can fix it, and renault cant do any more..
any help or ideas would be much welcomed.

Could be a faulty UCH, Its difficlt to prove tho. Clip can be used to check wether the UCH reckognises there is a key in the ignition, it can also tell if the key in the ignition is correct for the car.

Just because the decoder ring is new doesnt mean the wiring to it is ok, people always change componenets but forget about wiring. So thats somethng that can easily be checked.

im in the same boat only my light stays on when it wont start had the ring changed as well doin my head in
