V6 Temperature Fault?

  Clio V6 255 (Acid Yellow)
My car (V6 mk2) normally takes about 5 minutes to get up to temperature i.e. half way up the scale.

However, I took the car to Santa Pod yesterday and now suddenly my car is taking about 25 minutes to get up to temperature. Has something gone wrong or is the slightly colder weather to blame?

I've got exactly the same problem, took it to the dealers but they said nothing was wrong with it. Mind you they couldn't even hear the obviously noisy climate control sensor fan and didn't bother replacing that either.

If you get any news on this i'd love to know.

Well I took the car to Renault and they hooked it up to their diagnostic machine. It showed no faults relating to the way the car came up to temperature so I guess I'll have to accept that it is ambient temperature related.

I'm still not convinced though...

I did however ask the same question on the V6 forum and I had two replies saying:

id say 25 minutes is normal. Mine takes about this amount of time for the water to get up to temp.

I tend to drive at night when its cooler. Southend to London in 30 minutes and the car is just about warmed up properly.

We have gone from 20 degrees at night to warnings of ground frost. Crazy weather.
