Hi, whats is a VAG? Engine or car?? I see engine conversion topics for dropping them into a mk1. Is this fairly straight forward? Do you think k-tec would do this sort of thing or is it pretty specialist stuff. Thanks, Sam

I would imagine it means VW /AUDI group.

MATT BLACK on here had a Clio running the 1.8T lump.

VAG = VW Audi Group as said above. Obviously this now includes Seat and Skoda. When people mention the VAG in reference to engine swaps they mean the 1.8 20vT engine that comes in the likes of the Golf GTi, Ibiza Cupra, Leon Cupra, Audi TT etc. As CDC182 said MattBlack had one running 401bhp in a mk2 clio. Not sure how easy it is to fit into a mk1, but can be done!

The only one people have even heare of buy there 2 more Mk1's apartently being built at the moment.

If you need any info drop me a pm mate, Its not an easy convertion and requires allot of "1off" parts to be made. It's not that expensive if you can do it yourself but to pay a company like K-tec,bb tuning...ect to do it would cost allot more
