Vaio laptop to Sony TV? Non-HDMI.

Hi guys,

PC World and Currys are clearly retarded, so thought it best to ask on here with all you knowledgeable bods!

I want to play movies and iPlayer through my TV from my Vaio laptop. They are both a good couple of years old, so I don't think they have HDMI. The TV certainly doesn't.

What lead do I need? I need audio through the TV as well, talk of VGA, yellow leads, 3.5mm jacks etc???!!! I'm lost!!!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Sony do a specific lead iirc. Cant remember off the top of my head but i remember them trying to sell me it when i brought my tv and vaio from them a few years ago.

Ah Trinitron. Yes something like the above. I'd have thought you'd need male jacks though to go in the telly.

Cheers all. That looks about right and I can then just extend the VGA side as required.

Really need to update my tech... But it all still works!!

It wont work too well though picture wise. The ratio will be way off converting it from VGA to red/white/yellow.
