valver cam belt tension

Have just put on new belt, idler and tensioner on my valvers engine while it is out. Have by memory put new belt to a tension that feels similar to tension on the old one that I took off. As haynes manual says if you can almost but not quite twist it 90 degrees, on stretch between aux shaft/oil pump pulley and tensioner. Does this sound ok to everybody, for anybody who had done this themselves, how did you guesstimate it, thanks

Sounds about rite mate but remember your old belt would have stretched abit so the new one needs to be abit tighter. just do it like the haynes manual says and you cant really go wrong
