Ive got a Hilpower stage 1 chip, BBtuning full stainless system and green cotton element and it made 149.7bhp @ 164.5Nm of torque....however that was on my old engine that went not long after, not sure if they gains would be better on the engine im running now...maybe its because i have 2 magic tree freshners instead of 1

F7R mate, from experiance gains are pretty poor on the 1.8 in comparison

Hmm... but a conversion would cost £££ rediculous amounts ?

I'm getting a whole car for £350!

change bottom end to a 2litre one!

Basic mods would be decat, catback exhaust and pannel filter with revised air intake.And make sure its had a good service!

2.0 bottom end its only a few Hp more top end but much better low end power even for track day work.
But knowing the way this car and its pointsless paying 2.0 money, go get one of those chips off ebay from the race cars, decat, disel center section (its a straight throught pipe so less restriction). IK with a cold air feed from the fog lights.
Battery in the boot.

for the money you spend installing some cams you can go 2ltr.....if you want to go 'fast' then its the only option unless you have a few grand.
