Has anyone had any problems with a leak on their valver? If so, could anyone please share them as I believe I have one on mine. When the engine has been revved there is a strong smell and it seems like its coming from the fuel rail. Any help is greatly appreciated
VERY old pic of my bay...............the ecoteck sh#t has long gone, LOL
Any way, it's a common prob for the fuel rail to leak, The Ph'2 models use a plastic rail with crappy clips to hold the pipes in place, Try and get yourself a metal fuel rail, Sure these were used on the PH1's.
All i did was cut the pipes, fit the metal rail and push the pipes on and hold inplace with jubilee clips, Worls a treat on mine!
Umm, no reason why the injector should be leaking:S
But i'm sure its possibly come loose either at the head or at the rail end.
Also the pipe may be split, Get the car started and have someone give it a rev, (build the fuel presure up) and inspect the fuel rail area.
The clips to hold the injector - rail can be brought from Renault.....just over £1 each iirc, The 'O' ring cannot, if thease need replacing you may have a job finding some.
if you need 'O' rings you would be best posting on www.williamsclio.co.uk
sure someone had some contacts on where to buy from.
Nar mate, thats the fun of owning a valver.......whats going to go next!!
Good idea tho, get someone else to do it...............hopefully it will just be a small cut in the pipe where it joins onto the rail, should be a nice easy fix!
Got them from ebay, but they are hill power items, need to do some work on my bay, got a bulkhead heat sheild now.......want to replace the header tank with a new Renault item (NOT paying for chrome) got to get some more loom covers as the blue ones are cheap an nasty......have lost all their colour, then just give it a good clean, Lick of paint on the inlet and rocker covers and add the engine covers. OH and I have the OE airbox on now which needs a good scrubb, may put it in the dishwasher when my mum ent looking:clown:
