  172 Cup

What would you need to do to a standard Valver engine to turn it in to a williams engine? just bore it out or does the williams have diffrent cams etc?

If you wanted to take this route mate

Transplant would be much cheaper and more successfull way!

As weight says quite a few difs!

Ive heard you can put the bottom end of the 2.0 16v onto the 1.8 16v and work from there for some big power gains, I dint think just boring it out would make it the same!

2.0 bottom end, can be found on willy or megane F7R, exactly the same. then williams has slighty bigger valves! only other difference is exhaust manifold afaik, valver manifold is better for more torque, willy one helps the 2.0 rev a bit more!

the 1.8 needs a slight overbore like 0.5mm or something, obviously the longer stroke crank, a little bit needs machining out inside the block so the crank can rotate properly, the starter mount on the outside is slightly different, not sure whether theyre the same rods, different pistons need though. Then theres the tubular manifold as well and the Willy head has bigger valves and higher lift cams.
