valver ride height

Hi all,

Just a quick question about the ride height on my valver, its been lowered i was told by 55mm but the front seem alot higher then the back (as shown in picture hopefully) so it sits very uneven and looks abit odd to me.

A friend said it would help under braking as it would level and be more balanced through corners, how much of that is true im notsure:confused:.

Im thinkin of raising the the rear ride height a little so it sits level, i was just unsure whether it is likely to make the handleing better or worse.

Thanks in advance

Aaron

Sorry about the poor picture this is the only side shot i have of it as its was taken by the previous owner.

I would level it up myself, yes, partly because if the backs lower than the front then I think the rear brakes think there is a lot of weight in the back and brake more, meaning that the back will lock up and possibly come round and get you sideways under heavy braking!

I think...

I lowered mine 60mm and spot on the same as yours!!!!

I think its going to be at a slight angle as the torsion bar can only be set in set clicks so if you raise it, it may look like the rears higher!!!!

I think it looks fine as it is mate but all down to personal preference!!!!

You can set the rear torsion bar at any height there is no legendary clicks on it....and yes the car will handle better with the front about 5-10mm lower than the back.

Why do so many people say it has to go down at set gaps then???

Iv always wondered why there would be CLICKS!!!Lol

Thanks for the replys lads. Cheers mole for puuting the picture up mate

Is it advisable i go to a suspension specialist to get this done properly? Any ruff ideas on price if i was to take it to a garage/ specialist.

Has anyone fitted a tow bar to a valver? Not the ideal towing car i know but it would only be towing a single bike trailer with a mx bike on.

Thanks

Aaron
