Valver stalls unless revved :S

  Valver
I swear I've seen a few threads on this over time but now I need them I can't find them so sorry if this has been answer a few times!

Basically car was running fine, was driving around for a couple of hours then all of a sudden came to a set of lights and the revs dropped and it stalled!

Now unless I rev it it will stall straight away, gets to about under 2k and it stalls :(

Any ideas?

  Skoda Fabia vRS
idle speed control valve, is it plugged in still ?

if it is, take it off and clean the insides of it

Yeah just found it on the forum under iscv! Where exactly is it and what does it look like? So far I've found its on the left side? is that passenger side or drivers side :S

  Skoda Fabia vRS
its on the passenger side mate near the throttle body + inlet manifold, if you look where your airbox is, look at the back of it, two hoses connect to it, one of those is connected to the ISCV, it also has a wiring connector going into the top of it

The connector on the top was pretty loose, i clipped it back on and it seems to be idling ok but still a little 'chuggy'? When i pulled it off it didnt make any difference nor if i left it off and started the engine? :S

Check the HT leads aswell, mine kept on stalling at roundabouts when I was slowing down. The leads 'fell apart' when I took them off, replaced them now its all fine!

i had the shame prob!! but i didnt have a valver i had a mk1 phse 3... the HT leads fell apart in me hands!! always worth a looK!!

check the map sensor, clipped to the top of the bulkhead on the opposite site of the bay to the icv.

then check the pipes going to it as well.
