Valver steering Wheel controls

How can i get my valver stereo steering wheel controls to work with my Alpine CDA-9815-RB?

Also whats the best ground behind the dash? as previous owner has chopped the loom about abit!

your need a smart lead which i think the part no is pc9-101 and a patch lead that can be bought for 5quid

I wanted to get mine working with my Sony head unit. I went to Halfords and they had a kit there to make it work with my particular headunit, but it was about £30! I thought, fook that, what a ripoff!

There was a little black box in there which seemed to do something, but i don't know what.

Is there a simpler way to make it work?
