valver suspension conversion

need help... i wanna convert my suspension so it can accept a set of valver coilovers... what do i need to do... btw i already have 52mm hubs...

cant you just get standard clio coilovers or are you planning an engine conversion?

You'll need williams/clio 1.8 16v/renault 19 1.8 16v hub carriers to rectify the hub spacing issue to 54mm. That should be all...driveshafts/wishbones/calliper carriers will all mate up.

I ahve a pair of RSi hubs you can ahve for £30 for the 2, will check hole spacing on wednesday

Patty, i don't know if GSF do the hub carriers or not but you're guaranteed to be a fortune buying new from anywhere - secondhand is the best way which means you'll likely get hubs and bearings too all inclusive.

I bought some from a chap near me for (IIRC) 10quid each...luckily he's selling another set which he won't want much for and should post as he does ebay stuff regularly - http://www.retro-renault.com/viewtopic.php?t=5486 Word of advice tho - he won't say a price, just takes offers and doesn't like a lot of questions...also no paypal - just cheque or bank transfer.

how much will it cost to source some new bearings as it seems the one on that thread r fooked!!

Hubs are fooking heavy to post, but if you want me too i can

Bearings come with the hub, but they are about £15 ish from GSF

Patty, you're only gonna be about 11quid max for postage mate - the hub carriers you need are only 9kg each (that was when i weighed mine which came with hub and bearing) - standard parcels will do 20kg for £11.65 so not really that much.

As lunner says bearings are only 15quid but you'd be wanting to replace them anyway while you've the chance...it'd save them needing done in the future and having your car off the road while doing it.

Have a look on retro-renault or ebay for people breaking R19 16v's - they use the same parts and are usually far cheaper (i.e an entire car for 90quid) than trying to source the equivalent clio valver part.
