valvers finaly sold





well as of 2moro im gonna b valverless, guy shook my hand at £2150 2nite and is comin 2 pick it up 2moro afternoon. bit peeved at the price 2 say the least but now i can look 4 a nice wee turbo of some sort:devilish:
 


tell me about it tom but he was the only guy who came up with the cash,so i took it.

im hopin 4 a mr2 turbo but may go 4 somethin like an evo 1 or somethin if i can get insured at a decent price (which i doubt)

i thought about a 172 or 182 as theyre goin quite cheap but i want somethin that can show up all the local cossies, scoobies and evos (loadsa guys wi rich daddies where i live!).
 


cant afford an evo3,saw a nice evo 1 but ive bn callin insurance companies 2day and cant get better than £2500 4 insurance on a mr2 turbo!!!!

my m8 just got a s13 200sx which is ok but neither that or the s14 are as quick as i want really,can any1 think of a better car than the mr2 4 performance/insurance, can any1 help?im 22 with 3 years ncb and 1 sp50 in aug 2002,g66 4ll.

cant get any1 2 give me a decent quote on any imports so its lookin like either a s14 200sx-£1092,sunny gti-r£1187.55,rover 220 coupe turbo-£1000.65, celica gt4-£1034.25, calibra turbo-£1187.55.

what do people think? im fancying the sunny gti-r but it must b a uk model K reg or newer for £3,500 or under and i cant find 1. Any1 know of or able 2 find 1?

p.s. the cars r all 93s and quotes r from elephant.co.uk.

If your limited to a Sunny GTi-R instead of a Pulsar (import) then you are really restricting the number of cars you can look at and if you only have 3.5k to spend then I think you will be looking for a long time. Imo if you do find one for 3.5 k you might end up spending a LOT of money on it as it will be dodgy/poor condition. I considered buying one 6-8 months ago and looked at about 8 but none were nice enough to make me open my wallet.
 


unless i can get insured on the pulsar at a decent price then itl have 2 b a uk model and goin by my experience 2 day with insurance quotes 2 day imports r a no go 4 under 25s
 


theres a place called fensport that will take care of it all for you, its not cheap though. i looked into it for my MR2.
 


hmm, i dont know the rover coupe turbos lookin the best bet goin by what u guys and insurince quotes r sayin. its only £1k 2 insure (cheaper than my bludy valver was!), does 0-60 in 6.2 and tops out at 150 and i quite like the looks of em 2.

any1 here ever owned a 220 turbo or know some1 who has?whats ur opinions and views on em?
 


theres a bloke on RSC whos got a tomcat. he loves it. few mods and they fly. torque steer is a big problem though. they are bloody quick but at the end of the day its a rover. they do 100 in something silly like 15.2 standard.
 


went 2 look at a 220 turbo just there but was quite badly rusted,i can c that bn a problem with em,im used 2 bad torque steer from my dads saab aero
