Valvoline......good gear / bad gear?

Hey all....i need to get myself some oil, tomorrow possibly...

Is this good gear

Valvoline Synpower Fully-Synthetic 5W40 Engine Oil (5 Litre)

sorry, my english is not the best :S

and because you mentioned gear and valvoline, here we call valvoline to the gearbox oil.

and here in Portugal the best is 5w40 because of the climate, so if you don't use the car under extreme low temperatures i'd go for it
