but i was thinking that surely what he has done is completely pointless? there is a metal plate on the end of his k&n?

some cone filters have an opening at the end, so maybe this works. sucks some air in from engine on idle and has air forced in while moving. that is assuming there is an opening on the end.

will have an opening in the middle, but still filter'd so not to much of a problem, heat soak not a mega problem on an intercooler'd car tho, although the lower the intake temp at the filter the lower the intercooler can cool!

Even if the ducting goes onto the inner core the engine will suck air from the least restrictive path i.e the outer edge of filter in the engine bay,the ducting is about as much good as pi-ssing into the atlantic ocean to top it up, yes this guy is a pri-ck

i cant believe we havnt mentioned his best mod, not the huge exhaust or his k+n masking tape special but those front fog lamps.

im off to search e-bay for some and bolt them onto the 182, keep your eyes open i will try for a group buy.
