Very Poor Braking

Hi there,

just trying to solve this braking issue,
currently the brakes dont lock and the car just rolls to a stop at a leasurely pace
they seem like they need warming up, but this happens intermittently
there a crunch from the braking pedal once on a while and then the brakes go soft again

i've recently had new discs, new pads and new fluid put in.

thanks in advance

well, its intermittently that it does this, but ive had moments where the car has just continued moving the handbrake is needed to stop it, but after this, the car stops on a six-pence

What pads do you have mate? If the wrong size pads have been fitted they could intermittently be moving in the calipers

ive managed to fix this by replacing the inlet hose, feels like a totally different car, does the hose on the inlet pipe serve any purpose?

Not entirely sure where it goes but feeds from the engines head down to the bulk head. Assume it heads to the master cylinder but I may be wrong

well the original was held onto the original pipe by electrical tape, pedal tended to go to the floor, but replacing the whole pipe with a silicone one has fixed this
