very slight knock when pulling off..

what is this? on a valver.. it may be the wheel nuts though im pretty sure thier tight, am i right in thinking its going to be one of the engine mounts? its very slight and barely notciable, but i know its there.

Could be a lot of things...engine mounts, manifold hitting dogbone etc etc..

manifold hitting dogbone? mmm, how do i check this? just been out and it isnt the wheel nuts, it also only seems to happen in first gear which is wierd, i just had a wheel bearing done, so im hoping that one of the bolts is just lose, the knock seems pretty noticable through the gear stick though.... im puzzled..

It could be your exhaust mate. On my Mk1 (1.4RT) my exhasut sometime catches on the gear linkage and it can be felt through there and it can be heard hitting the heatshield sometimes. I just need to find time to adjust the exhaust on mine as it's a reasonably easy fix - don't know if this could be the problem on yours though.

i got the same after a wheel bearing change the bearing just needs tightening up as it will have settled in with a bit of driving
