Besides Ebay that is who ship only from Hong Kong! ;)

Or are there any other alternatives that are easier to get hold of?

Basically want my PC linked up to my TV.

PC has VGA out for monitor.

TV has HDMi and scart inputs etc.

I've had a quick look at Maplins yeah, will give it another go.

Chris, you can do it as they sell the leads on eBay. I don't think the TV has a PC input but I'll have to double-check.

I'll put up a link to the TV, 2 minutes.

Ok thanks Chris.

Well this is the TV spec so with those connections what is my best option?

This going to be any use when coupled with an audio cable?

Get a cheap video card with a DVI output. It's digital. I picked up a DVI to HDMI cable from ebay (shipped from UK, arrived next day) for £2. Works perfectly.

Save's you alot of grief. VGA will look awful on a big TV.

alright ben,

i'd be quite surprised if the tv didnt have a pc input tbh, and that diagram doesn't mention scart either it must have scart, vga will be ok on a big tv,

Thanks Chris, might give it a go as the cables are only cheap anyway.

Toying with that idea yes but that means adding a video card first.

Can anyone recommend a half decent card to add??

Thanks for all the help guys :)

VGA to HDMI lead never seen one and I doubt there is such a thing. Firstly VGA carries video only so you are screwed on the audio side.

You could get a VGA to HDMI convertor from Keene.co.uk

Or try something like this

http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/catalog/cables/VGA-to-HDMI-Converter.html

You can get VGA to component video (RGB on phono ends) but if your TV does not have component video inputs you are screwed.

But make sure your PC graphics cards supports the native reslotions for your screen. No good trying to pump 1920x1080 if your TV on has 720 support.

But I have not seen any Plasmas/LCD for a long time with no VGA inputs

Thanks for the info.

The VGA to HDMi leads are available on ebay but whether they work or not..well they come from Hong Kong! lol.

The audio side of things is sorted, it is only the visual I need to take care of.

My TV has;

Scart x 2
HDMi x 2
CI slot x 1 :)S)
Components x 1
A/V in x 1

Is VGA to scart a viable option??
