vibration????

when i put my foot down in a lower gear (1st or 2nd) there is a vibration under the car (sounding like the exhaust is hitting something) also i can feel it in the steering wheel. I bought the car off a friend and he said it is something to do with the Cat touching somthing? anti roll bar? Renault recalled the car about this problem and many others apparenty?
If anyone can shine a light would be loads of help!

Engine mounts need adjsuting and the dog bons probably worn out as well.
No huge issue to fix though.

New dogbone mount only £35 or so

COuld be the dogbones take a right battering in use.

Yep look for cracked bushes it if shakes to much its worn though.

Checked engine mounts, all fine!??? talked to my friend who i bought the car off, he said he put a sports cat on it, and the old cat wont make the vibration through the steering wheel if you put it back on! apparently renault grinded abit off the flange on the cat which bolts on to the manifold because it was rubbing on somthing??? so I guess I'll just have to grind abit off the sports cat and see if it still happens? :S

I think the problem could be that when you are accelerating, the power and the bark of the exhaust of your 172 cup is causing your anus to contract in an unusual manner, causing some anal vibrations. Rather similar to the ones i was experiencing at around 8 am on sunday morning. I wouldnt worry about it too much.

chopper you piss can!!! to right it was your bottom burping around 8 in the morning after a night out in liverpool!!!! and it stank!!! brought tears to my eyes, ha ha
