SG9 Forester STi
Firstly, I apologise for the seriously poor pics which were taken on my iPhone and made worse by photobucket. I haven't had a chance to get any decent photos taken yet but I'll get some sorted and post them up soon.
Anyway, this all happened by accident really when I called TDF for a quote on a custom remap. I still can't believe the car left their workshop with it's current spec but i'm definitely not complaining! All I can say is they've completely transformed the car and I couldn't be happier with the figures it made on the dyno.
New additions:
AT power motorsport ITB kit (slam panel removed to fit longer trumpets) with EC1 ECU
421 Cat cams
Mocal Oil catch tank
Direct port 50bhp WON nitrous kit
ARP uprated con rod bolts
Heatsheild
Aerocatches with carbon fibre surrounds
I've since added a Whiteline ARB and have some pressed plates ready to go on to smarten it all up.
207.8 BHP
173.1 ft/lbs torque
Anyway, some photos (It needs a good scrub but it'll be getting it soon!)...
The car feels great and turns into an animal once it reaches 5000rpm which is really good fun . I haven't really had a chance to play with it properly yet as I picked it up a few hours before I flew out on a holiday but so far it's very good fun and I know I haven't seen half of it's potential yet. So far I've been too scared to arm the NOS switch (lol), so will save a bottle for Santa Pod/North Weald where I can give that it's first proper run. It now enjoys a little torque steer wiggle when I put my foot down so I think that's something I'll have to work on when it comes to the 1/4 mile.
Plans from here on out are:
KW coilovers
Upgrade the concrete bucket seats to something similar yet comfortable
Upgrade the current brake setup
I'm torn when it comes to the exhaust, for me it's character and every clio specialist I've been too has said that it has a unique sound due to the mix and match system. That's a perk for me however TDF said I would easily see another 5bhp with a different exhaust. Also I'd quite like to hear more engine, less exhaust at the moment (even though the pops and bangs are pretty cool) so I'm considering a recessed exhaust but I'll take my time to make my mind up on that one.
Anyway, that's all from me. Cheers for reading!
Vicky.
