Viewing Clio 182 tomorrow - advice required

  BMW M3
Hi guys
just joined the forum.
looking for a Clio 172 or 182 with cup suspension as a daily during the winter to keep down the mileage on my BMW M3.
Went to view a Clio 172 cup today.
Going to view a 2005 Clio 182 tomorrow.
The car has done 62,000miles and has FSH but requires rear wheel bearings and rear exhaust.
Any idea of cost of replacing the rear wheel bearings and exhaust.
Apart from checking when aux belt and cam belt was changed what else do I need to look out for apart from the obvious checks?

Many thanks

Rear wheel bearing are in the disc and can be picked up from G172 on here for under £100 and easy to replace yourself.

Exhaust could be quite expensive, especially if you wish to replace with OEM system. Most have opted for some sort of stainless steel system; if you check the parts for sale forum you may be able to get something decent for around £200-£250.

Standard exhausts always rot at the boxes or the pipes crack under load of the system weight. Really poor design.

Getting the standard system off in one piece without ramps can also be a nightmare.

Having to replace the exhaust would be a good excuse to get a Yozza or similar ;)
