Clio 197
Just a quick review of Viewranger, as can be found here:
http://www.viewranger.com/vrproductinfo.php
FANTASTIC customer service.
I phoned-up to enquire about which maps to buy, since I was about to "select my own map" on the website...
I could easily have spent £20 on a small map of the 100 mile route I plan to cycle, but the chap on the phone (Mike) wanted to ensure I got the best VFM.
I was advised to buy a UK National Parks map, for £25 and he would make sure that the whole area I required (south downs way) was included. Not only that, but I was allowed to swap one national park for a local area here (the Quantocks).
Because of the short notice, the CD wouldn't be with me until tomorrow... so he's uploaded the maps I need for tomorrow onto a server for me to download tonight.
Top banana!
The cost of all the 1:50 ordinance survey maps required to cover the UK National Parks is quite high if purchased as seperate maps in WHSmith. Good value from that point of view.
