Theres a crack by the left hand bolt, im not mechanically minded in the slightest but if i was to hazzard a guess, this is where the exhaust fumes run out off to the exhaust? how much am i looking to get this repaired and is it affecting performance :S Thanks

its only the heatshield, may cause rattle but no serious damage. get one and refit it yourself.

It's only a heatshield, no effect on driving whatsoever.

ah cools thanks for replys, must seem like a noobie question im generally not very hands on but im starting to as its expensive having to go garages and it seems most stuff once explained isnt that complicated.
