VIN number Question

[Matt 16v]

can someone tell me if the VIN number on the door pillar of the clio is sticker based or a stamped metal plate?

I've just been to see one and its like a sticker, a little like the one on the panel above the glove box on the passengers side.

can anyone have a quick look at theirs and confirm it...Mk2 172 owners if it makes a difference

yeah it is a sticker, and if a car ever has paint and the bodyshop doesnt replace it there a right pain in the ass to get sorted, only available from a main agent and cost a small fortune and when jimmer looked into getting one you have to get the vehicle checked by the dvla and a letter to prove this, otherwise no sticker....
