Viper problems

Has anyone experienced any problems after fitting a viper to a 172/182? Loss of 5k kick for example?

Could it be that the increase in power/torque before 5k has upped the power before 5k so it's smoothed out the power delivery to the point it doesn't 'kick in' any more?

I asume your on about a viper air filter as theres no way a Viper would fit in a 172/182 maybe a 172/182 would fit in a Viper

i have a cheap open cone in my 182 was about 25 quid i have lost slight power with the 5k kick but it sounds the nuts!!!!

When i had my airfeed connected,I lost the 5k kick. felt like nothing was happening then all of a sudden the engine went metal, kicked in much harder than a vetec on ctr and pulled really hard to the left! Took the feed off and pointed it towards the filter and felt much better. Got the 5k kick back and the noise is addictive! Leave the feed off for good now, although its not ideal in this weather.
