Vista RC1

I used the Vista-64 RC1 last week, m8. Seemed fine, but I couldn't find a compliant driver for my wireless NIC and sorting out the X-Fi was a right pain in the ricker.

The current X-Fi Vista driver is only a stop-gap too, rather than a full-blown supported driver suite. Tried it for a day and then put XP-64 back on.

Been trying RC1 for a while now, although still no ATI driver for my card, so not been able to test the Glass effect yet.

On the 64 bit issue, I've heard so many issues with the drivers, I don't think it's worth the trouble, at leasy not until companies start releasing 64bit drivers, maybe when it's RTM they will start producing them?

theres newer build out than that now, pretty stable now too. i'm running it on a laptop at work, it's pretty.

Apparently the latest edition keeps blue screening, although I can't say for sure as I haven't tried it. Going to wait for RC2, this Friday instead.

Might try a dual boot with the x64 version see what its like. If its as stable as XP64 then it might be worth it but i have not got much reason to change XP64 is very stable runs quick and it has good driver support for my hardware.

But meh might give it a try later on. When i have some time but have 3 builds to do for people first before i can sort my own comp out.
