vlc player...how do i stop it from being default video player?

right click the file that is associating with VLC player and change the default program type. You might have to do it with each type of vid file.

Or if you want media player to be default then you go into Media player and choose options->file types and choose what u want associating.

^Either that or try the set program access and defaults either on the start menu or contol panel. There should be one in there for default media player.
