i had an air filter and my wheels powdercoated black, I was at work and my car was parked on my street. My mum was in and a tourist knocked on the door he crashed into my car and accepted full responsibbility but he was going back to the airport en route. The insurance didnt pay out and voided my insurance cause they wernt declared.
That was over 2 years ago now and have been paying roughly £70 a month TPFT ever since (Im 22 this month) now looking to get something a little more luxurious i.e BMW/Audi/Mercedes but just wondering if there is anyway to 'clear youre name' as people grow up and accept what they have done paying 2 years of high premiums for something i didnt really do but i have accepted it. It is also stopping me getting insured on a business van for my work and basically becoming a joke.
Any help would be great.
Woa something wrong here?
Someone crashed into the OPs car, and they the TP insurer didn't pay out because of undeclared mods on the OPs policy? I smell fish.

This may not be the right thing to say but what if he just didnt tell them ? If the insurance had to be used would they be able to see that far back ?
I paid £800 a year when I got my 172 at 23 so £70 a month for a 172 sounds quite good at 22.
For Tpft!!
Are you sure your high permiums are because of your policy being void?
£70 a month isn't crazy for someone at 22. Guys on here pay 2 grand to insure £1000 Clios!
Just a thought.
+1 im looking at £2000-£2500 in september for re-newal :/ 3 years no claims and i turn 21 in january...
car value as standard £1000 tops :/

For a 1.2 Clio? Are you actually on medication? Seriously.
The mind boggles.
Oh and i've no idea if the earlier poster who suggested not mentioning it was joking or not. I really hope he is.
Its the 'have you ever had an insurance policy cancelled or restrictions imposed?' question that he is having to say yes to.Rob said:Finally, what are you actually declaring? I'm confused. When I've got insurance they've never asked me if I've not managed to get a payout or whatever?
well most companys ask for accidents or convictions in the last 5 years some 3 years, or is voiding a insurance policy more serious?
