VVT Solenoid

Painted and cleaned up my rocker tonight and took my VVT solenoid out to mask and cover up the holes and give the solenoid itself a wipe down and clean and noticed this round the edges. The rubber seal in the rocker is fine with no splits, tears or gaps but this looks like there is another seal that should be there thats come away.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me ?

@Dan@SJM i did have a very small weep of oil in that area Would it be worth it to change the seal in the rocker and is it just a case of pulling the old one out and popping the new one in ?

you might as well change it as you can get one for a couple of quid.

Yeh they're common for leaking now. Prise it out with a screw driver and tap the new one home with a socket.
