VXR Berg crash at the Ring.

My friend and I were there this weekend too and were about 60 seconds behind this car when it hit the barrier. Felt so sorry for the guy as we drove past, he looked understandably devistated.

Spotted the sticker in the rear side window so I have been looking for the owners thread but he may not be back in the UK yet... reg CU08 NFZ

i thank most of u who are concerned about the well being of all involved in the crash, it was indeed me, i was driving my car on the ring,as u can see in the video i was entering the corner to fast so driver error is to blame.i got airlifted as precaution as they suspected a broken neck,even tho i walked out they sed shock could hav made the body respond with panick! however,im fine,cuple scratches on my head,bits of glass decided to move into my skin,n a savage case of whiplash. my friends are also fine,alex has whiplash to.

car is as u can see a write off, shes in a bad state, im awaitin a date to be able to collect her. its 300kms from me.

I MUST ADD THAT THE PEOPLE ON HERE THAT GOB OFF SAYIN I HAV MAXIMUM POINTS NEED TO GET THERE FACTS RIGHT. LIKE MOST PEOPLE ON THIS SITE I DONT HAVE A CLEAN SLATE, I HAVE 3 POINTS ON MY LICENCE!!!!!

yeah it is a bit weird going off there, i had the volvo off an brunchen 1 (the first right hander) along the metal grates, the joys of winter tyres LOL

Normally people just over correct and end up in the armco opposite.
Even in the wet i've not seen anyone go straight on like that.

erm no track day ins, am tryin to get hold of my insurance just to ask the question, i kno that they r guna laff at me tho n say unlucky!!!!

Only said same corner.. but if the vxr back end stepped out, i'm sure it would be very similar. Another thing, that civic is probably stripped teh' f**k with one driver, and the vxr was not stripped with three up.

Costs depend on how long the track was closed for, but it won't be cheap. Poor bloke.

I'd imagine the front end went so easily because of the camber/incline of the corner. Front end goes so light, if he was 3 up too, passengers in the back ain't gonna help either.

Was shut for an hour and a half according to that thread. So probably upwards of £2k just for the track closure
