W810i - deals??

Anyone seen any good deals on this? I was going to upgrade with O2 online but they've reduced the text bundle down for 12 month contracts... so just wondering if I can get a better deal elsewhere?

I got this phone just the other day,
theres a o2 one with 750 minutes and 750 texts but its a 18 month contract,
or you can get a orange one with 1500 texts and 100 minutes which is also 18 month.
I got 500 texts and 100 minutes on orange which is a 12 month contract.
oh and its a great phone aswell.

I think the 500 texts and 100 mins are the same price on Orange and O2 online aren't they at £25?

i couldnt get that deal on O2. you will probaly get the best deal on O2 since your allready with them.

That's what I was going do do but for the same contract I was on they want to downgrade me from 500 texts to 200! I need some proof I can get better elsewhere before I phone them :S

Worth checking then, even if I went up to the same contract on 18 months I'd only get 300 texts. To get the same deal as this year I'd have to move up a plan/price... pisses me off!

Sounds a con to me, I didnt realise they tried to change the plan/tariff etc. I just thought everything stayed the same and the new phone tied you into a new contract for a year on renewal. Nothing did change on mine luckily by the sounds of it, free mins and texts etc are all the same.

Well I just spoke to O2 again, they wouldnt give me the same deal as I've had so I said I'd cancel and they said ok, no doing a deal or anything :S

They wanted £90 to upgrade to a W810i.

So I said I would cancel and get the 12 month 500 texts 100 minute tariff with the W810i for £25 a month.

So they said (gets complicated now) put me on a £10 a month tariff with 100 mins and 100 texts. Then give me 300 free texts a month plus for another fiver a month give me a 100 text bolt on.

So thats £15 a month for 100 mins and 500 texts.

I then pay £90 for the phone but over th year save £120 over the tariff with the free phone. Leaving me £30 up.

Why do they have to make it so hard? Why didnt they just upgrade my phone for free?!?

i never even had to argue, just said i've got 1000 texts at the mo and 400 anytime any network minutes on a 12 month contract, I'd like to keep it please.

and I want a W800

Yeah i have had a simular thing, good idea in theory when it works, but this time round it hasnt quite worked out.
Dont think i will be with them next year if i get offered a silly setup like that, to much hassle for a online based tarrif.
